WILSON GREENLIGHT STAFF
Will Aycock, General Manager
Aycock is responsible for the management and oversight of all Greenlight and information technology operations. He also supervises the management of the Unified Communications Center. He has worked with the City of Wilson since 2001 and has been part of the Greenlight team since launch in 2008. Aycock previously served as operations manager, assistant director of ITS, GIS manager and GIS coordinator for the City of Wilson. He is a graduate of both Appalachian State and East Carolina Universities and holds Municipal Administration and Government Chief Information Officer certificates from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Gene Scott, General Manager, Outside Service Plant
Gene Scott has served in this position for 12 years. His duties include overseeing the design, material specifications, selection and maintenance of the Outside Service Plant portion of the City’s fiber-to-the-home network as well as private fiber optic networks for corporate customers.
Prior to taking this position, Scott’s career spanned 28 years in Outside Service Plant Engineering for a major telephone company, holding positions of increasing responsibility including Senior Engineer where he was responsible for the day to day management of a district engineering office. Scott is a graduate of East Carolina University.
Rhonda Eatmon, Broadband Sales Executive
Rhonda has served in this position for 12 years. Experienced Sales Executive with a demonstrated history of working in the government administration industry, along with any commercial entity. Skilled in customizing services that fit your communication needs while providing access to cutting edge technology. Negotiation, Business Planning, Operations Management, and consulting in an overview of your current communication desires. Strong sales professional with a business focused mindset in providing 2nd to none technology. Prior to taking this position, Eatmon’s career spanned 22 years in the position as Account Executive for a major telephone company, which consisted of selling Key Systems, PBX that included but not limited to Nortel and Cisco. As well as selling hardware, services included and not limited to the following: Frame Relay, T1’s, PRI’s, SIP Trunks, VoIP, MetroNet and POTS. Eatmon has received training and certificates from Nortel & Cisco as well as certificates from Wilson Community College in the communication field.
